Question by heyy =]: How do I go about getting a part-time job at the supermarket?
I’m 15 (turning 16 soon), and I’m really looking for part-time job I can work at during the school year. My #1 option is the supermarket because it’s right down my street. Should I go to a cashier or a worker stacking the shelves and ask if there are any job openings? I don’t get what I have to do,

When you walk in the supermarket, look for some type of office, or customer service. If you can’t find anything like that, then ask a cashier or another employee close by where you’re supposed to go to apply for a job, or you can ask for a manager. Most places do online applications now, but all you need to do is simply ask and the employee will either tell you that the applications are online (and they will give you the website if you ask), or they will direct you where you’re supposed to go in order to apply. Once you fill out the application, whether it be online or on paper, you turn it in to whoever gave you the application, and wait for them to call! When I apply for a job, if they don’t call me within a week, then I call and ask if they’ve made any progress in processing my application. It shows that you’re dedicated in getting the job! Good luck!
