In my country, when buying ice cream in a supermarket, we get a complimentary dry ice token from the cashier and go to a machine near the supermarket entrance. The dry ice keeps our ice cream frozen on the way home. But last summer, when I visited the US, none of the supermarkets I visited had such a system. So now I’m wondering how Americans keep their ice cream from melting on the way home from the supermarket in the United States. Please share your own experiences or insights. This will be helpful since I’m planning to move to the US soon!

People on the registers are supposed to put all cold items in the same bag. That way they’re kept cooler for longer as they’re all in the same spot.

Or alternatively you can buy a cooler bag, which has insulation on the inside to keep it frozen and cool for longer.
